World Cerebral Palsy Day is a movement of people with cerebral palsy (CP), their families, and the organizations that support them, in more than 50 countries. Held on October 5th, it’s more than just an awareness day, it’s an opportunity to create a powerful voice for those with CP to change their world. That’s why, individuals with CP and their families are invited to put their stories on the map.
Let’s share these stories and best ideas and tell the world … I AM HERE… WE ARE HERE. Go to worldcpday.org and share your stories of challenge and triumph. The website gives you the opportunity to read other people’s stories from all over the world and join their efforts. The campaign will empower the CP community to take action locally and help build the global movement for change.
Buildings across Canada will also be lit up green in celebration. World CP Day is an opportunity for the world to grow. Together, we are the collective voice for over 8,300 Albertans and over 17 million worldwide with CP. We want to ensure that children and adults with CP have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society.
