Cathy Gregory

My name is Cathy Gregory and I have cerebral palsy. I' m 69 years old. I had trouble walking so I didn't walk until I was about 2. My speech was difficult to understand and my balance was not very good. I use a walker now but I didn't use one until about 15 years ago.

I had trouble in school so I only went until Grade 9. I was in a country school so I rode in a cart that my dad made for me to go to school in. I came to Calgary in 1945 and worked at various jobs. I volunteered for numerous organizations such as the Rehab, and Easter seals. I did not let my cp slow me down any.

I got married when I was 38. I had two children, a girl and a boy. In 1999, I got divorced. Right now I'm currently on my own. I hope to find a place where I will be comfortable and with lots of activities. In the future, I would like to meet a nice friend who would show me how to have a good time and cares for me. This past summer, I went on a cruise to Alaska and had a great time.
