The 2008 Life Without Limits Gala was truly an evening of endless possibilities. This 2 nd annual event, that took place May 9 th at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, can most easily be described an evening of hope and inspiration as so clearly demonstrated by our co-emcees, Cory Johnson and Duncan Wyeth, along with our special guest Courtenay Sarvis, all who exemplify what it means to live a life without limits. Not only did the event allow CPAA to raise awareness about who we are and what we do, but most importantly relationships where strengthened and new friendships and bonds were made. Ultimately, the 2008 Life Without Limits Gala gave us the opportunity to breakdown some of the misconceptions that exist regarding what it means to live with a disability and provide hope and inspiration to every single one of the attendees. We’d like to sincerely thank our generous Gala sponsors – Sunlife Financial, Rotary Challenger Park and The Co-operators, as well as our committed and valued partners – Motion Specialties, CB Medical and Allergan/Botox. The gala would not have been the success that it was without their support, and the generosity of our community and for that we are truly grateful! Again, we thank you for helping us create a life without limits! As funds are still coming in from the evening we ask that you stay tuned to the CPAA website (www.cpalberta.com) and the summer edition of the CPAA’s Journeys Newsletter to learn how much was raised from the Gala. In the meantime, we ask that you mark your calendar for the 2009 Life Without Limits Gala on Friday, May 8th !
