  • Load and unload trucks/trailers safely and efficiently

  • Sweep and clean around donation bins to maintain a tidy appearance

  • Maintain signage on and around bins as required

  • Use a mobile app to log pickups and route details accurately

  • Place donation bins at approved outdoor locations

  • Drive and care for a GPS-monitored vehicle

  • Communicate clearly over the phone with dispatch and supervisors

  • Collaborate with other drivers for special routes or events as needed

🕓 Schedule:

  • Shifts are weekdays and weekends

💲 Pay:

  • $18.00/hour

  • Paid training provided

  • Company vehicle provided

✅ Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean Driver’s Abstract, 3 years of driving insurance history, and a clear criminal record

  • Willing to drive a 3-ton truck or truck and trailer

  • Physically fit and agile — able to move in and out of vehicles and carry items safely

  • Tech-savvy — confident using a smartphone for tracking and communication

  • Strong verbal communication skills, especially over the phone

  • Willing to collaborate with other drivers when needed

  • Friendly and professional with donors and team members

  • Dependable, adaptable, and committed to showing up on time

⭐ Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ months of experience driving a 1-ton or 3-ton truck

  • Familiarity with Calgary and surrounding areas

💼 Benefits:

  • Be part of a team that follows Alberta Employment Standards (fair scheduling, pay, and break rules)

  • Vehicles provided

  • Paid training and onboarding

  • Work independently in an active, hands-on role

  • Support real programs that help people with disabilities thrive

🧭 Team & Culture Fit:

We’re a small, friendly team that values good energy and mutual respect. Our donors are generous community members choosing to support people with disabilities — we treat them with gratitude, respect, and a smile every time.

🙋 This Job Is for You If:

  • You enjoy working independently and outdoors

  • You are reliable, physically capable, and quick on your feet

  • You like chatting briefly with donors and can explain our mission with a smile

  • You’re comfortable using mobile apps and navigating city routes

  • You’re a team player who can also manage your own route without constant supervision

🚫 This Job Is NOT for You If:

  • You’re looking for a flexible schedule or want to set your own hours

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
