Driver for Donation Services (Casual)
Edmonton and Calgary locations (2 spots available)
We’re hiring a reliable and motivated Clothing Donation Bin Service Driver to collect donations that directly fund programs for Albertans with disabilities. These donations support adaptive equipment, therapy, and inclusive camps — helping over 4,300 individuals across Alberta each year.
📍 Location:

Start and end each shift at our SE Calgary location or NW Edmonton location

Service routes span Calgary/Edmonton and nearby communities
🚚 What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Collect clothing, household items, and bottles from donation bins, homes, and partner businesses
-
Load and unload trucks/trailers safely and efficiently
-
Sweep and clean around donation bins to maintain a tidy appearance
-
Maintain signage on and around bins as required
-
Use a mobile app to log pickups and route details accurately
-
Place donation bins at approved outdoor locations
-
Drive and care for a GPS-monitored vehicle
-
Communicate clearly over the phone with dispatch and supervisors
-
Collaborate with other drivers for special routes or events as needed
🕓 Schedule:

Shifts are weekdays and weekends
-
You must be flexible — this is not a “pick your own hours” position
💲 Pay:

$18.00/hour

✅ Requirements
-
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean Driver’s Abstract, 3 years of driving insurance history, and a clear criminal record
-
Willing to drive a 3-ton truck or truck and trailer
-
Physically fit and agile — able to move in and out of vehicles and carry items safely
-
Tech-savvy — confident using a smartphone for tracking and communication
-
Strong verbal communication skills, especially over the phone
-
Willing to collaborate with other drivers when needed
-
Friendly and professional with donors and team members
-
Dependable, adaptable, and committed to showing up on time
⭐ Preferred Qualifications:

3+ months of experience driving a 1-ton or 3-ton truck

Familiarity with Calgary and surrounding areas

Operations Supervisor
Calgary location
Objective:
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the social enterprise to meet Organizational and Operational goals.
Summary:
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day processes of the Operations Department, including the supervision of Operational employees, coordinating logistics and administrative duties. The Operations Supervisor will report to the Operations Business Development Manager/Operations Manager and assist in delivering the Operational goals of the department.
Operations:
Oversee our Truck Drivers, including scheduling, communication and addressing concerns and assisting hands on as needed
Oversee and manage our seasonal ADS program.
Work with the Provincial Operations Manager to oversee third party contracts, including monitoring volume output, analyzing result data and proposing improvements as needed
Infrastructure maintenance of Operational equipment as needed
Ensure maintenance of vehicles and schedule regular upkeep as needed
Warehouse:
Overseeing and assisting staff as needed in the receiving and sorting of donations
Overseeing and assisting staff as needed when loading and unloading of trucks
Overseeing miscellaneous tasks carried out within the warehouse, including our bottle program, green bag initiative and the day-to-day requirements as needed
Maintaining cleanliness, organization and safety of warehouse
Staff Supervision:
Manage the day-to-day supervision of all reports, including performance, scheduling, training and reporting of hours/absences
Full cycle recruitment of staff, including creating job descriptions, interviewing and on-boarding
Arrange cover during absence and assist in coverage as needed, including outside of usual working hours
Motivate staff to meet department and organizational goals and maintain a positive working environment
Hold regular staff meetings to maintain communication amongst team and deliver key information, including addressing H&S matters
Ensure staff are following processes and procedures at all times
Administration:
Assist with Accounts Payable for the department, including processing invoices and providing PO’s
Review Operational contracts with the Provincial Operations' Manager
Prepare reports and review with the Provincial Operations' Manager
Assist in the department budget planning and implementation
Work with internal team and external volunteers when needed
Work with marketing team when materials are needed for Operations
Oversee and manage the Health and Safety program for the Operation’s Department
Other:
Comply with CPAA policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment and uphold all Health and Safety procedures and processes
Ensure duties of the Operation’s team are covered during absences.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Computer proficiencies - Microsoft Office Suite skills required and Salesforce considered an asset.
Communication skills – Comfortable with email/phone/TEAMS communication.
Business Administration education is an asset.
Non-profit experience considered an asset.
Ability to identify key issues and finding solutions to overcome them.
Clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
Effective attention to detail and rigor.
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Class 5 Driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
Travel may be required within the Province
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
Overtime as required

Work is performed in a combination of environments, including in the office and at locations outside within the City of Calgary and surrounding areas
