Casting Call

Voices 4 Ability Radio (V4A) is seeking talented voice actors for our upcoming podcast series, Crime of Dispassion.

V4A is Canada’s first internet-based radio station created by and for individuals with disabilities, as well as their caregivers and allies. Our station features Canadian music and talk shows all produced and hosted by people with disabilities that spotlight the real-life issues faced in our communities.

About the Show: Crime of Dispassion is a gripping audio drama set in 1949. It follows David Tan, a decorated war veteran turned cowboy and private investigator, who returns to post-war Toronto to uncover the truth behind his adoptive family’s mysterious murder. Along the way, David is forced to confront buried secrets, estranged siblings, a resurging criminal underworld, lost love, and the trauma he’s long tried to forget.

The show explores themes of loyalty, self-worth, identity, and the meaning of family both found and biological.

All auditions and recordings will be held via Zoom. No prior acting experience is required—just passion, commitment, and a love for storytelling!

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
