CBC is excited to announce the second round of AccessCBC: A CBC Initiative for Creators with a Disability, a national program for Deaf and disabled creators that will provide training, mentorship and financing support to create scripted, unscripted and kids screen-based content.

The Disability Screen Office (DSO) is serving as the community liaison for the second round of the program, and we are excited to continue to open doors for Deaf and disability communities.

Applications for the scripted and kids streams are now open until Friday, March 15, 2024. Please read the official CBC announcement here. For further program details, please refer to the AccessCBC website

I downloaded this platform a while ago and have been using it occasionally. The experience has been smooth so far. The design is simple, and navigation is easy. I didn’t face any issues while playing. It runs well and doesn’t slow down my phone. It’s not too complicated, which makes it more enjoyable for daily use.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
