Three-year-old Brielle Thomson is full of joy and resilience despite the challenges she faces due to cerebral palsy.
In her bright pink wheelchair, Brielle radiates happiness. But for Brielle's mom Michelle, her mission is clear: she wants to give her daughter the ability to walk with the help of robotic legs.
“Brielle is the most resilient little girl I’ve ever seen. She’s been through so much, and yet she’s always smiling,” Michelle says.
Brielle’s journey has been marked by surgeries. Eye surgery at just 18 months old and hip surgery two weeks ago. Still, Brielle remains unstoppable, recently returning to school after the latest procedure.
“Even though life has thrown us so many challenges, she shows me every day that we can handle anything,” Michelle says.
Brielle was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and doctors initially told Michelle that her daughter would never walk or talk. But Michelle refused to accept that outcome.
