Working as a Communications and Engagement Specialist has been more than just a career for me—it’s been a journey of growth, connection, and purpose.
Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to grow not only professionally, but personally as well. This role has pushed me to learn, adapt, and see the world through new perspectives. Every story I help share has shaped the way I understand our community and the impact we make together.
One of the most meaningful parts of this work has been the people. Along the way, I’ve built relationships that go far beyond the workplace—connections that I know will last a lifetime. Being surrounded by passionate staff, dedicated volunteers, and inspiring members makes every day feel rewarding.
I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do: to tell the stories of our organization and the individuals and families we support. These stories matter. They celebrate resilience, highlight inclusion, and remind us all why this work is so important.
For me, this role is about more than communications—it’s about connection. And I’m grateful every day to be a part of it.
