Nanton’s Senior Centre just received a funding boost to enhance accessibility.
Kozy Korner was among the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta’s Spring Grant recipients.
Through the Community Priorities Fund, $10,000 was awarded to Kozy Korner.
The funding will be allocated for the installation of a lift, allowing residents and visitors with mobility challenges to safely access the basement amenities.
“This important upgrade promotes accessibility and inclusion and reflects the values we hold as a community,” the Town of Nanton said in a social media post.
Nanton Councillors Victor Czop and Aldo Raffin accepted the plaque and cheque on behalf of the Town of Nanton and Kozy Korner on May 8, during the Community Foundation’s Grant Celebration in Lethbridge.
